In November Iganga organized its yearly ‘Design Studio’. In an inspiring afternoon almost 25 experts and students from Goudappel and Breda University of Applied Sciences worked on three different cases in which designs were made for safe and attractive cities.
During this design studio we worked on designs for Kigali (Rwanda), Bodh Gaya (India) and Armenia (Colombia). Together with the local parties, the participants analysed the local situation and came up with designs for safer intersections, bicycle infrastructure and road profiles. The participants were divided into four groups, which each of which presented their design in a plenary session.
The local parties were happy with the results, and we look forward to collaborate further with them.
